The ICU Security DVMD1 & DVMD2 provide the most sophisticated Digital Video Motion Detection (DVMD) using real-time 30 Frames/Sec processing on a pixel-by-pixel basis. These units have the ability to detect motion in a variety of modes in both indoor and outdoor applications. They are compact in size, operate on low power and are an ideal tool for perimeter protection systems and covert installations.
The Technology
DVMD units compare every image from the video source to previously images on a pixel-by-pixel basis with a total of 262,144 detection points. These changes are processed thru a "Dynamic Looped Pipeline" which is a means of parallel processing with a proprietary verification technique called "Motion-over-motion". This technology integrates out the video noise to minimize false alarms. Once the criteria of motion detection are met an alarm output is generated. Unlike activity detection on some multiplexers, which require motion in a group of pixels and are only sampled periodically, the ICU DVMD1 & 2 can detect a single pixel change in 1/30 second (1/25 in PAL). For the most demanding applications, the DVMD1 adds a variety of motion detection basis, as well as a day/night mode.
Applications
Applications for DVMDs are only limited to the ingenuity of their users.  The ICU DVMD1 & 2 are used by foreign and domestic government agencies and defense-related industries for a variety of high security applications; such as: government buildings, military airfields, research institutions, aircraft hangers and nuclear installations. Also used in museums, airports, prisons, jails and theme parks.
